The Columbia made history as the first boat to win two consecutive America's Cups (1899, 1901), and in the 1899 contest, it's also notable that there was a woman on the crew—Hope Goddard Iselin, the heiress and lifelong sailor who had also successfully crewed on the 1895 Cup champion. Our scale model was built with a remarkable attention to detail, including plank-on-frame construction, hand-stitched cotton sails, and fine brass hardware. A brass table stand is included.
